One week from now...
I will be packing and going here.
Can. Not. Wait.

What I really do...
In the spirit of “sh*t _____ says” comes the latest internet craze, “What People Think I Do / What I Really Do.” You’ve definitely seen this series floating around the Web over the last few days. A co-worker sent around the below about the PR industry and it couldn’t be more accurate.
Honestly, 5 years later and my dad still doesn’t understand what I do all...
THIS is happening at an LF store near you right now!! I went there this weekend to try and make myself feel better (not much sucks more than being sick all weekend) and scored a ton of cute sweaters (including the one above in green!)
You’re welcome!
DIY-ing over these nails
Just a little nail inspiration on this lovely hump day. Can’t wait to try one of these out this weekend (most likely not the first two because, let’s be real, I’m the least artistic person you know).

Neon envy
I walked by Aldo this morning and their windows are covered in Neon and sandals! It is a bit of a tease being that it is only mid January and no sight of Spring on the horizon here in NYC. A girl can dream though…

Shopbop is having a 20% off sale now thru midnight tomorrow (10/19), so I FINALLY bought the Jeffrey Campbell boots I’ve been dreaming about (literally, they’ve been in 2 so far). Can’t wait for their arrival!!
Got inspired by my Equipment blouse last week and did a DIY manicure with a little pop of neon. I really love the results and am actually shocked it turned out so well considering I did it all free hand!
colors used: Essie’s Chinchilly for the base followed by Essie’s Licorice and a dollop of Essie’s Funky Limelight
LOVE the unexpected touch of neon in my new Equipment blouse (20% off last weekend at Bloomingdale’s!)

Sometimes work is really fun
Today I had the pleasure of working backstage at the Pamella Roland NYFW presentation for her Spring 2012 collection. My client Paul Labrecque was the mastermind behind the lovely sleek pony all the models were rockin’…
The show itself was very impressive (shout out to Lauren and her team!) and was almost like walking through an art exhibit. Her dresses were the perfect balance...
Ever wonder what the inside of a disco ball looks...
One of my many stops during Fashion’s Night Out in NYC included Nicola Formichetti’s pop up shop in TriBeCa, which looked just like that…
The pop-up is heavily inspired by Lady Gaga, who Nicola has been styling for the last few years. Like Gaga, the store is a work of art (minus the meat).
In the front of the store, there was a collection of some super fun vintage...
Scenes from the weekend
I meant to get this up sooner, like on Monday, but things have gotten crazy around here. Just wanted to share some snapshots from Richmond this past weekend. It was so incredibly relaxing and just what I needed.
Long drives downtown
Hanging out at one of my favorite spots in the city, the James River
Lunch and drinks on the river
perfect sunsets
Longing for the endless summer
I’m currently very sad that summer is over. Seriously, where did it go?!
I’ll certainly miss beach days, air dried hair, sunkissed skin and eating outside, but don’t worry, I’ll get over it. I do really love fall too, with it’s pretty leaves, boots, layers, dark nail polish and pumpkin flavored everything, but am always resistant to welcome the change.

THIS is what I'm doing tomorrow...
Day after tomorrow (Irene edition)
After spending the entire weekend in doors, scared for our lives (sort of) and consuming way too many hurricane snacks and bevs (definitely), my bf and I finally made our way out of the apt Sunday afternoon to asses the damage and eat some perishable food. After having a delicious dinner at the only restaurant open in the neighborhood, we headed to the roof to check out the city post-Irene.

Nailed it!
I have created a nice little ritual of watching my shows (currently Curb Your Enthusiasm) and doing my nails on sunday nights. I find it very calming after a long weekend and it helps me to mentally prepare for the week ahead. I feel like I can take on the world with a fresh manicure/pedicure! Cheesy, yes, but true.
Earlier this week I saw this tutorial on Honestly…WTF and immediately fell...

Hair crush
I have been obsessed with the “ombre” look lately. It looks so effortless and carefree, yet something about it is so pulled together and chic. After much thought, I went over to my client’s salon (shameless Paul Labrecque plug) a few weeks ago and very nervously colored the ends of my virgin hair. The result was very subtle, but I really love it! I’m even thinking about...

Working for the Weekend
Every week it’s the same. Sunday night is dreadful because you know tomorrow’s Monday and the start of a new work week with way too many days separating you from the next weekend. The only thing that makes Mondays bearable is my TV lineup (90210 and pawn stars!). Tuesdays are also tough, but at least it isn’t Monday right? Wednesday is hump day, so you usually feel pretty good...
