THIS is my most favorite thing in our apt right now.
I walked by Aldo this morning and their windows are covered in Neon and sandals! It is a bit of a tease being that it is only mid January and no sight of Spring on the horizon here in NYC. A girl can dream though…

Shopbop is having a 20% off sale now thru midnight tomorrow (10/19), so I FINALLY bought the Jeffrey Campbell boots I’ve been dreaming about (literally, they’ve been in 2 so far). Can’t wait for their arrival!!

Got inspired by my Equipment blouse last week and did a DIY manicure with a little pop of neon. I really love the results and am actually shocked it turned out so well considering I did it all free hand!
colors used: Essie’s Chinchilly for the base followed by Essie’s Licorice and a dollop of Essie’s Funky Limelight
It is Friday, do you really expect us to wash our hair and put thought into our outfits?

Progressive memo! Three, oh wait, four MKC staffers got the black shirt and jeans memo, a look commonly known as LazyGirlTM Friday or The Michael.

LOVE the unexpected touch of neon in my new Equipment blouse (20% off last weekend at Bloomingdale’s!)
Got crafty with my nails last night. Please note I did not intentionally wear matching leopard print today. That was a pleasantly surprising coincidence :)
These new Rebecca Minkoff Jeans and I share a name. I think it’s fate, what about you?

Today I had the pleasure of working backstage at the Pamella Roland NYFW presentation for her Spring 2012 collection. My client Paul Labrecque was the mastermind behind the lovely sleek pony all the models were rockin’…

The show itself was very impressive (shout out to Lauren and her team!) and was almost like walking through an art exhibit. Her dresses were the perfect balance between glamour with their intricate sparkly details and sophistication with their classic silhouettes. Next time I have a red carpet event (ha!), I know where I’m shopping…

One of my many stops during Fashion’s Night Out in NYC included Nicola Formichetti’s pop up shop in TriBeCa, which looked just like that…

The pop-up is heavily inspired by Lady Gaga, who Nicola has been styling for the last few years. Like Gaga, the store is a work of art (minus the meat).
In the front of the store, there was a collection of some super fun vintage Versace shirts (at right)

And of course there are also some costumes Nicola has done for Gaga, which include the gun-bra she wore on the cover of Rolling Stone and her signature sky-high heels
